Our History

Roadside assistance has always been part of the TA and Petro Stopping Centers service offer. In 2005, significant changes were made to our roadside assistance offer to provide greater support to our customers and to improve our service quality. TA (our parent company) branded our roadside assistance program RoadSquad. A roadside repair is complex because of the inability of the driver to access a repair bay for service, the difficulty in understanding the repair requirements, the adversity of weather conditions, and the inherent safety dangers. A team of qualified dispatchers, with full access to all technician and equipment resources, was put in place to ensure the proper oversight and quality of each repair. This team is 24/7/365 and, from day one, no cost has been transferred to the customer. At RoadSquad, keeping you rolling is paramount and we see overseeing your repair as part of our responsibility. In addition to the dispatch team, all aspects of our roadside service offer were assessed and improvements were made across the board… from specific training on procedures with both field and dispatch team personnel to vast improvements to how our service trucks are outfitted.

In 2008, Petro:Lube Service Centers joined the RoadSquad network and greatly expanded RoadSquad’s ability to provide national coverage to our valued customers. RoadSquad today is a network of approximately 240 service locations, over 3,500 service technicians and over 450 service trucks.

In 2012, RoadSquad Connect was launched and RoadSquad added thousands of quality “Connect Providers” to its network. Today, with the evolution of the RoadSquad Connect program, every customer, regardless of their geographic location or service requirement, can obtain service by contacting one and only one service provider - RoadSquad Connect. Anywhere, Anytime. RoadSquad Connect can keep you rolling.
